"I believe during those first 4 years, the Lord had me in training - I began to learn the culture and their system of education, to understand the needs and experience their struggles, to try to understand where they've come from, their faith, their beliefs, their customs."

Early 2007, the Lord began to put Burkina Faso Outreach on Lynn's heart - a vision to share the gospel and the love of Christ through schools and educational programs as well as a Child Sponsorship Program to meet the needs of the whole child.  Food and medical assistance programs to aid others in the community are also a necessary part of the work.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

We believe the Bible to be the absolute authority and truth inspired by God. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

We believe in one God, existing eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, the blessed trinity.  (John 10:30; John 14:26; Phillipians 2:5-7; 2 Corinthians 13:14)

We believe in the salvation of sinners by grace through faith in Jesus Christ as Lord who died for our sins, was buried and rose again the third day.  (Eph 2:8-9; Rom 3:24; Rom 10:9-10)

We believe in Jesus Christ, fully God and fully man, who is born of a virgin, died on the cross, rose from the dead and is now seated at the right hand of the Father making intercession for all the saints. (Matt 1:18-25; Matt 28:5-7; Is 53:4-6; Heb 9:24; Rom 8:34)

We believe in the imminent return of the Lord Jesus Christ to rule and reign over everything new.  All those who have accepted Him as Savior will spend eternity in fellowship with God in heaven.  (John 14:1-3; 2 Thes 1:8-10; Phil 3:17-21)

We believe His Church, under Jesus Christ as Lord, to be a gathering of those born of the Spirit, called together to worship, pray, fellowship, learn more of God’s word, proclaim the Gospel, and celebrate baptism and communion.  (1 Cor 12:12-13, 27; Eph 4:15-16;  Ps 107:32)

BURKINA FASO OUTREACH

MISSION STATEMENT

Burkina Faso Outreach was created to share the gospel and the love of Christ with orphans and widows through Education, Food and Medical Assistance, and a Child Sponsorship Program.

·         SHARING THE GOSPEL with a lost and hurting nation, teaching them of the gift of salvation and the hope that a relationship with Christ brings.

·         EDUCATING children and adults in Christian schools, literacy classes and preschool programs, incorporating the gospel.  Offering vocational training to youth so that they would be able to provide for themselves and their families in the future.

·         FEEDING the hungry individually as they come asking for help and through large food distribution events – another opportunity to share the nourishment of Christ’s Word.

·         PROVIDING the means for MEDICAL CARE for the sick who would otherwise be left to die; praying with them and telling them about the one true God who comforts and heals.
