To all of our sponsors out there: It's that time of year when many of you begin to ask about sending gifts to your children at Christmas. I repeat as usual: Please do not feel in any way obligated to send a gift for Christmas. Keep in mind, most of your children do not celebrate Christmas and your regular sponsorship support includes room for gifts at the end of year party. However, you are more than welcome to send an additional amount with your monthly support to be designated for a special gift. We ask that you limit this amount to no more than $25 unless a bike happens to be appropriate for your child ($100). Please check with me (Lynn) to be certain. Be sure to include a note for bookkeeping so they will know how to apply your gift. If you prefer to ship a purchased gift, we recommend Flat Rate shipping through the USPS (https://www.usps.com/ship/service-chart.htm). Otherwise, popular suggestions are: stickers, color books, fun pens, candy, cookies, gum, baseball caps, t-shirts, and cheap jewelry. We will have our usual end of year party where all children will receive a small gift; so if you would like to send a contribution for the overall party, that is also welcome. If we surpass our budget, we invited non-sponsored children as well.
